PlayStation players can now order a PS5 for the PS2 theme, but not via Sony, Walmart, Target, GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, or any other major retailer, but with SUP3R5. Earlier this month, SUP3R5 announced an ‘Inspired by the Past’ PS5 controller and PS5 DualSense controller. At the time, neither product was available for purchase, but that has changed today. However, if you would like to have any of these specially made nostalgic hardware pieces, you will need to be prepared to shell out some extra cash.
The PS5 DualSense proprietary controller runs at $ 99, while the controller, which comes with the controller, runs at $ 649. The former is limited to only 500 units, while the console is further limited to 304 units. In other words, the arrow will fade too quickly. In fact, by the time you read this, my two specially designed hardware parts might be sold out.
However, if you decide to purchase any of these products you should bear in mind that it does not come in the way of Sony, which may shut down the process before shipping any products. Moreover, the “past-inspired conversion” of the controller includes complete dismantling of the controller, which will void its warranty. The controller does not require this and therefore its warranty should not be voided, but for now, there is no way to confirm this. For the console, all SUP3R5 does is temporarily remove the side panels from the unit. Again, this should not void the warranty, but for now, there is no guarantee that it will not
It is also important to keep in mind that this is a new process that has no history, and the return policy is very vague. Meanwhile, full payment is required at checkout, although the product will not start shipping until sometime this spring.
