The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, left the White House Wednesday morning at the end of his tumultuous four-year term even before the swearing-in ceremony of his successor, Joe Biden.
Mr. Trump and his wife Melania have left their residence for the past four years at around 8:15 am to board the Presidential Helicopter Marine One, which took them to Andrews Military Base.
He was immediately welcomed by a small crowd, President Trump went there with a final, relatively sober ten-minute speech, aimed mainly at recalling what he had accomplished since taking office.

After the short ceremony, which contrasted with the usual decency for a power transition, Mr. Trump traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida, where he would receive his residence in Mar-a-Lago.
The ceremony took place in the absence of Vice President Mike Pence, who is scheduled to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Joe Biden, who will officially become the 46th President of the United States at noon.
