According to Zalonho, the situation in Bakhmut is the most difficult of all sectors of the front up to the entrance to Ukraine. In its regular assessment of the situation in Ukraine, the American Institute for the Study of the Wolf (ISW) notes that Russian forces continue to attack Bakhmut and have recently made some ground gains around it and the city itself.
