Like the Toronto Maple Leafs, striker Mitch Marner’s start to the season has many Queen City fans worried.
The Leafs have five points in seven games so far in 2021-22 with a 2-4-1 score. Worse yet, one of their star strikers, Marner, has had little help since the start of the campaign.
Besides a shy performance of four assists in seven playoff games against the Montreal Canadiens, Marner is a far cry from his usual standards of around one point per game.
“I spoke to people in Toronto over the weekend and they told me the biggest concern is Mitchell Marner,” TVA Sports reporter Renault Lavoie said Monday during the show. GC.
«[…] I don’t know if Mitchell Marner wants out of that, but I seriously wonder if he still wants to play for this team. Because he was chosen after the playoffs and I think the young man is tired of that.”
In five seasons and a dust in Toronto, Marner earned 359 points in 362 regular season games.
