Tania Roberts, Bond girl and star of the ’70s Show,’ is hospitalized

Tanya Roberts, who captured James Bond in “A View to a Kill” and later played Midge Pinciotti in That ’70s Show, was hospitalized after falling into her home. The actress was reported accidentally dead by her publicist earlier Monday.

Roberts’ publicist, Mike Pinngle, told The Associated Press on Monday afternoon that Roberts, 65, was still alive as of 10 a.m. PST but was in poor condition. He had said earlier on Monday that Roberts had collapsed at her home on Sunday and she was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Pinngle said Robert’s husband, Lance O’Brien, told him he had detained his wife and “seemed to get away with it.”

Publicist said he is waiting for more updates on Roberts’ condition.

Several media outlets, including the Associated Press, reported Roberts’ death. The AP removed her obituary and sent an alert indicating that the actor was still alive. CBS News initially published an article from ET Online reporting on Roberts’ death.

One of Roberts’ most important roles was playing geologist Stacy Sutton opposite Roger Moore in 1985’s “A View to a Kill”.

Roberts has also appeared in fictional adventure films such as “The Beastmaster” and “Hearts and Armor”. She replaces Shelley Hack in “Charlie’s Angels,” joining Jacqueline Smith and Sherrill Ladd as Angel Julie III. She also played comic book heroine Chyna – a female version of Tarzan’s story – in the 1984 movie.

A new generation of fans watched her on “That ’70s Show,” as she plays Midge, Donna’s mother from Laura Prepon’s character.
